Lee Evans and Berry Van Peer took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective darts groups, top, as they look to join Jack Drayton in Saturday’s Finale at the MODUS Super Series.
Evans, who last competed at the Super Series in early July, made a swift return by taking the early lead in Group C, after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Zvonimir Lesic, Connor Hopkins, Michael Huntley and Neil Wild, with his only defeat coming against Ryan Branley, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, three players in Zvonimir Lesic, Michael Huntley and Ryan Branley ended the day 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively on 6 points each, whilst Connor Hopkins sits in 5th on 4 points and Neil Wild bottom on 0 points having suffered five straight defeats.

In Group B, Berry Van Peer took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Scott Campbell, George Cressey and Devon Petersen, with his only defeat coming against Reece Colley, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, Scott Campbell also ended the night on 6 points, but sits in 2nd behind Van Peer on leg difference, whilst Reece Colley sits in 3rd on 4 points, with George Cressey and Devon Petersen sitting 4th and 5th on 2 points each.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Jack Drayton in Saturday’s Finale, with Evans and Van Peer taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST.
