Graham Usher will walk out on stage at Bridlington Spa tonight with two prestigious darts titles in his sights. Already through to the British Classic final against Harry Lane, the 53-year-old now meets 21-year-old Harrison Leigh in the British Open decider, the final game of the weekend’s action.
The Gambler earned his place the hard way. He got the better of Jack Nankervis 5-4 in the semi-finals despite being out-averaged, 88.98 to 92.96. Nankervis had been the form player of the last eight, averaging 95.88 in a 4-1 win over Jack Bellingham, the highest average of the round, but he couldn’t bring that into the decider.

Usher’s own quarter-final was a bit more routine, a 4-2 win over Danny Penney with an 88 average.
Leigh’s route was built on deciders. He edged Matt Clark 4-3 in the last eight with virtually identical 84 averages, then went the distance again to beat Reece Robinson 5-4. Robinson had needed all seven legs to see off number one seed Jenson Walker in his quarter-final.
Like the women’s event, it leaves an all-English showpiece with two different finalists. Known as “The Gambler”, Usher is a former PDC Tour Card holder and 2025 World Seniors runner-up.

Leigh, born in August 2005, has spent 2026 on the PDC Development and Challenge Tours, on which he hit a nine-darter at the start of the year.
The final is best of nine legs. The winner takes £1,500 from the Silver ranking event, with £700 for the runner-up.
