STEVE WEST went through the card at the MODUS Super Series yesterday but it was still not enough to earn him the ‘Wednesday Warrior’ slot in Saturday’s finale.
Instead Scott Robertson secured his place in Saturday’s Finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C.
Robertson, who entered Wednesday’s play on 18 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall after winning four matches from five, as he recorded victories against Scott Taylor, Chuck Puleo, Scott Winder and Francesco Basili, with his only defeat coming against Steve West, to end on 26 points from a possible 30 overall.
Elsewhere, West and Scott Taylor will both compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with West ending on 24 points after 5 Wednesday wins without giving away more than 2 legs in any match, and Taylor on 14 points. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Reece Robinson, Jamie Owens and Conan Whitehead.
Francesco Basili, Scott Winder and Chuck Puleo will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4th, 5th and 6th respectively overall, with Basili and Winder ending on 10 points each and Puleo on 6 points. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Johnny Haines, Jake Neale and Lewis Cook.
The Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on the MODUS YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
