Coates and Baysal Claim Development Tour Titles

Play The Pro Darts Scorer

PDC Winmau Development Tour Events 23 & 24
Henry Coates and Kaya Baysal were victorious on Sunday, after winning Development Tour
Events 23 & 24 respectively.

Team DW’s Sebastian Bialecki clinched top spot on the Order of Merit, as the PDC’s Youth Tour season concluded in Wigan.

Coates – a winner of a Players Championship Event in July – reached the final of Event 23 firstly by recording victories against Declan Mainwaring, Liam McNeil, Finn Behrens, Leo Howard, Lewy Williams, James Beeton, Keanu Van Velzen and Tyler Thorpe, to set up a clash with compatriot Owen Bates.

The final began with back-to-back breaks of throw between the pair before Coates took complete control of the tie by rattling off four successive legs in a total of 59 darts to seal a 5-1 victory and pick up a second Development Tour title of his career.

In Event 24, Kaya Baysal was victorious, with the teenager reaching the final firstly by recording victories against Daniel Stephenson, Callum Schofield, Adam Dee, Craig Galliano, Luca Wolff, Hayden Newman, Damien Decla and Owen Bates, to set up a clash with
Dutchman Jurjen Van der Velde.

The final began with Baysal taking the opener in 13 darts before Van der Velde stormed in front by rattling off three legs in 18,21 and 16 darts respectively to move 3-1 ahead in a race to five.

Baysal then took control of the tie and fort back by winning four straight legs and sealing a 5-3 victory in Leg Eight with a 15 darter to pick up a maiden PDC title as well as the £3,000 top prize.

Elsewhere, despite being ineligible to compete in the final nine events of the year, Sebastian Bialecki secured top spot on the Development Tour Order of Merit having picked up six titles in 2026 and books his place in November’s Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts.

The top three players from the Order of Merit booked their places at the Paddy Power World Darts Championship. However, with Bialecki sealing his place via the Pro Tour Order of Merit, places were awarded to Jurjen Van der Velde, Cam Crabtree and Jamai Van den
Herik, who finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.

Owen Bates, who finished fifth on the Order of Merit, will secure a place at Alexandra Palace should his compatriot Crabtree earn his spot via the Pro Tour Order of Merit.

Furthermore, Crabtree and Van den Herik have earned two-year PDC Tour Cards for 2027/28 as a result of finishing second and third on the Order of Merit, due to Bialecki being sat comfortably in the World’s Top 64 and Van der Velde in his first year as a Tour Card
Holder.

However, should Crabtree end the year inside the Top 64 following the conclusion of the World Championship, Englishman Jack Drayton will be awarded a Tour Card due to being next inline having finished sixth on the Order of Merit.
