Jim McEwan was crowned the winner of Phase 1 at the Online Darts Live League on Saturday, after defeating Darryl Pilgrim 4-3 in the final, to join his fellow Scotsman, Robert Thornton in the list of Champions Week winners.
McEwan, who entered the finale having won Group A earlier in the week, won just one of his group phase matches, in defeating Mike Gillet, before losing out to Darryl Pilgrim. Nevertheless, McEwan found his way through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Josh Payne, and dispatched the Former PDC Tour Card Holder, 4-1, to book his spot in the final.
In the decider, McEwan took on Darryl Pilgrim for the 2nd time on the night, and got his revenge in coming through a last leg decider with a 4-3 victory to take the Phase 1 crown at the Online Darts Live League and picks up the £6,000 1st prize.
Online Darts Live League returns in a few weeks’ time with the start of Phase 2 commencing with the first of two days of Group A, with the dates & field to be announced in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
