OLD HOLBORN – PLAYER OF THE MONTH
ENGLAND and Shropshire county player Steve Gittins just missed winning a Hyundai saloon car that was the special prize for a nine-dart 501 at the Warwickshire Open.
In the opening leg of his first game he hit a 180 followed by 120 (with one dart bouncing out), 177 and 24 with one dart.
Nine scoring darts, but one on the floor. In the McEwans Individual League he currently holds the Least Darts award (11 darts) and Highest Checkout (161).

RUNNERS-UP
MICK KENWAY registered an 11-dart 501 playing for the White Hart in the Saddleworth 501 League, scoring 140, 135, 140, T18, D16.
JOHN FIRTH hit a 12-dart 501 (140, 140, 100, 121 (T20, 25, D18) in the Spen Valley League, West Yorkshire.
DENISE IRVINE (Beavercreek, Oregon) hit a six-dart 301 (bull, bull, D17, T20, T19, bull) in her first 11 months of playing darts.
PAIRS TEAM OF THE MONTH
E. WRIGHT and V. BACON recorded a 10 dart 501 (180, 140, 131, bull) on their way to taking the Dagenham Independent Summer Competition Pairs championship.
