Live League: Sudden burst of Payne!

Josh Payne secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches, as Group A came to a close, with the fields being confirmed for Groups B and C at the Online Darts Live League.

Payne, who entered Wednesday’s play having won four matches from five on his debut in the Live League on Tuesday, won four matches yet again, as he recorded victories over Scott Marsh, Scott Walters, James Richardson and Alan Tabern, with his only defeat coming against Kai Fan Leung, to finish top on 16 points from a possible 20.

Elsewhere, James Richardson narrowly missed out on an automatic spot into Saturday’s finale, as he finished 2^nd on 14 points and securing a spot in Group B, alongside Scott Marsh, who finished 3^rd overall on 10 points. The duo will be joined in Group B on Thursday and Friday evening by Chas Barstow, Stephen Burton and Ryan Furness.

Kai Fan Leung narrowly missed out on a place in Group B, as he also ended his Group A campaign on 10 points, but finished behind Marsh on leg difference, with Scott Walters and Alan Tabern joining him in Group C, after they finished 5^th and 6^th respectively overall. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday morning by Andy Jenkins, Daniel Day and David Wawrzewski.

Online Darts Live League continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am GMT and Group B commencing from 9:30pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
