Darts World’s very own contributor/columnist, Natalie Gilbert, booked her place in the Women’s British Open on Sunday afternoon, after she got the better of Steph Clarke at the semi-final stage.
She sets up an all-English battle with reigning WDF Women’s World Champion Deta Hedman, in a final that will be played on the main stage later this evening.
Both finalists had comfortable last-four affairs, with Gilbert coming out a 4-1 winner over Clarke, and Hedman whitewashing Jane Robson. Gilbert stayed comfortably at the level she had shown at the quarter-final stage, operating at a 75 average.

Gilbert had her own reason to arrive fired up. She had been beaten 4-2 by Lorraine Hyde in the British Classic semi-finals, averaging just under 72, before going at least one better in the Open.
Natalie has been threatening a return to form in recent weeks, with several WADC event wins to her name, landing her a second place finish in the North rankings and her first major event qualification with a spot at the ADC Global Championship.
Hedman, on the other hand, dropped a whole 22 points from the 87 she managed to record against Vicky Pruim in the last eight. Both will be hoping they can bring their A game for the showpiece event.
The final will go out on the main stage on Sunday evening, sharing the bill with the British Classic finals.
