Thibault Tricole, Scott Baker, Matthew Edgar, Mike Gillet and Nick Kenny all booked their places in Saturday’s Finale on Friday at the Online Darts Live League, after coming through their respective groups to join Simon Stevenson, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Tricole, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, won three of his five matches as he topped the Group overall, by recording victories over Carl Hamilton, Ciaran Teehan and Scott Baker, with defeats coming against Jarred Cole and Nathan Girvan.
Elsewhere, Scott Baker topped the daily table with four wins from five, as he also secured a place in Saturday’s finale, by finishing 2nd overall on 12 points, and edging past Jarred Cole, who despite also finishing on 12 points, missed out on leg difference, with Nathan Girvan finishing 4th overall on 10 points, Carl Hamilton in 5th on 8 points and Ciaran Teehan bottom on 4 points.
In Group B, it was Matthew Edgar who topped the table overall, in winning three of his four matches on Friday evening, in recording victories over Nick Kenny, Mike Gillet and Dan Read, before losing out to Robert Rickwood in the final game of the night, to finish on 10 points from a possible 16.
Elsewhere, Mike Gillet also secured qualification, by finishing 2nd on 10 points, behind Edgar on leg difference, as did Nick Kenny, who finished 3rd on 8 points, with Dan Read and Robert Rickwood missing out by finishing on 6 points each.
Online Darts Live League continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 2 with the six players battling it out for the 3 spots up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 10:00pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
