Michael Wiles was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Nine at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Aden Kirk in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly top prize.
Kirk’s voyage had gone boldly, with defeats of the favourite Jeff Smith and veteran Robert Thornton, right through to the evening’s final match up.
Wiles, who entered the finale having finished 3rd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning one of his two group phase matches, as he firstly suffered a defeat to Aden Kirk before whitewashing Robert Thornton to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Jamie Atkins and from there, Wiles whitewashed his compatriot, 4-0, to book his place in the final.

The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week 10, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Series Seven Champion Andreas Harrysson.
