Kevin Painter secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning three of his five matches, as Group A came to a close, with the fields being confirmed for Groups B and C for Week 3 of Phase 2 at the Online Darts Live League.
Painter, who entered Wednesday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group A, won three of his five matches to secure qualification into Saturday’s finale, after recording victories over Scott Baker, Chris Quantock and Carl Wilkinson, with defeats coming against Mikuru Suzuki and Matthew Dennant.
Elsewhere, Scott Baker narrowly missed out on an automatic spot into the finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 12 points and will compete in Group B, alongside Matthew Dennant, who finished 3rd overall on 10 points. The duo will be joined in Group B by Rob Collins, Darryl Pilgrim and Graham Hall.
Chris Quantock narrowly missed out on a spot in Group B, despite ending on 10 points overall, but finished behind Dennant in 4th on leg difference, and will compete in Group C, alongside Mikuru Suzuki and Carl Wilkinson, who finished 5th and 6th respectively. The trio will be joined in Group C by Arron Monk, Adam Smith-Neale and Ryan Furness.
Online Darts Live League continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am GMT and Group B commencing from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
