Derek Coulson was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Seven at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Oliver Mitchell in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Derek, who entered the finale having won Group A earlier in the week, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches as he defeated Harry Ward and Daniel Ayres to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Radek Szaganski and from there, Coulson defeated his Polish opponent, 4-2, to book his place in the final.

In the decider, Coulson came up against Oliver Mitchell, who’d whitewashed Harry Ward in the last four, and experience in weekly finals proved to be vital, as the Welshman sealed a 4-1 victory to defeat Mitchell and secure a place at Champions Week once again as well as collecting the £5,000 first prize.
The MODUS Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Eight, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Former PDC Tour Card Holders Graham Hall and Dylan Slevin.
Play will be streamed on Pluto TV with highlights and other coverage on the MODUS Super Series YouTube channel, or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
