Live League: Williams Edged Out as Evans Goes Through

Lee Evans secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Online Darts Live League.  

Evans, who entered Wednesday’s play on 6 points from the opening day of Group A, won four of his five matches as he secured his place in Saturday’s finale, after recording victories over Keelan Kay, Scott Williams, Gary Robson and Jim McEwan, with his only defeat coming against Matthew Edgar, as he finishes on 14 points from a possible 20. 

Despite also ending on 14 points overall, Scott Williams narrowly missed out on an automatic place in the finale, after finishing behind Evans on leg difference in 2nd and will compete in Group B, alongside Matthew Edgar, who finished 3rd on 10 points. The duo will be joined by Stephen Burton, David Pallett and Graham Hall. 

Jim McEwan, Keelan Kay and Gary Robson will all compete in Group C, after the trio finished 4th, 5th and 6th respectively, with McEwan and Kay finishing on 8 points each and Robson on 6 points. The trio will be joined by Johnny Haines, Reece Colley and Pete Burgoyne. 

Online Darts Live League continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
