Kai Fan Leung secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches, as Group A came to a close, with the fields being confirmed for Groups B and C of Week 2 at Phase 3 of the Online Darts Live League.
Fan Leung, who entered Wednesday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group A, won four of his five matches again to secure his place in Saturday’s finale, after recording victories over Justin Smith, Robert Owen, Colin Osborne and Scott Walters, with his only defeat coming against Richard North, to end on 16 points from a possible 20.
Despite also ending his campaign on 16 points, Scott Walters narrowly missed out on an automatic spot into the finale, after finishing behind Fan Leung on leg difference, and will compete in Group B, alongside Robert Owen, who finished 3rd overall on 8 points. The duo will be joined by Chas Barstow, Rob Collins and Lee Cocks.
Richard North, Justin Smith and Colin Osborne will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4th, 5th and 6th respectively, with North finishing on 8 points, as Smith and Osborne finished on 6 points. The trio will be joined by Arron Monk, Graham Usher and David Wawrzewski.
Online Darts Live League continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
