Championship Tour Gathers Momentum

The ADC’s Championship Tour is set for its second weekend from Bristol on July 4th and 5th. Thousands of pounds in prize money and qualification for both the tour’s finals weekend and the Champion of Champions are set to be won.

Following the success of their debut weekend in Rainton, Sunderland, the ADC are bringing the Championship tour to the South of England before to a Manchester Weekend in August.

With the rankings race tightening every week, the winners of the two main events will likely join Adam Atkinson, Matt Jackson, Graham Hall and Lloyd Pennell in the race for the various benefits of topping the ADC overall table.

In addition, ADC players and performances have already captured interest and recognition from places such as the MODUS Live League and Darts World’s Amateur Award.

Atkinson and Tony Newell claimed the two main events at the inaugural weekend and the positive reaction seems to have inspired players to again attend with around 170 players expected for the weekend action.

An excellent mix of participants that truly represent the amateur game are registered to attend. Whether they are former major winners, finalists, and participants such as Colin Osborne, Steve Hine, and Jonny Haines or normal pub players those who attended the North East events and enjoyed them enough to travel 300 miles to have another crack.

It seems that the vastly experienced players enjoyed the professional organisation, conditions ,and standards ( see The Wizard’s Wizdom here) whereas many less well-known players enjoyed both that side but also the crack, the opportunity ,and the originality of the first weekend.

The events are gaining media interest from across the spectrum whether it’s established platforms such as Darts World or the various Vloggers, Bloggers, and ‘YouTubers’ who have been enthused by the concept.

Each day will also feature a ‘plate’ competition with £300 added to the prize pot.
