Jackson on for 1000 Ahead of ADC Weekend Line-up

Its safe to say Matt Jackson is the runaway leader in the ADC Rankings and ahead of the weekends action, he is now just seven points off becoming the first player to hit 1000 points. The Action is registered for the BHDP Charity Darts Singles at the Highbridge Social Club.

Matt was in superb shape going into the tournament in excellent form so far winning six tournaments this month.

His last victory came a week ago at the July Old Ball GSoD after beating Mark Carter 5-0 including a 125 checkout in the first leg to break throw. The Englishman picked up 32 points for his victory and has since added another 24 points having reached the Semi Final of Grand Prix Event 4 on Wednesday, before a Quarter Final at Bar 501 on Thursday.

Steve Brown is slowly gaining ground, the ADC Number 3 won last nights Round Robin in Bristol after beating son and PDC tour card holder John 4-1 in the Final.

Despite averaging four points lower, the Bomber included a 72 check out in the second leg for a crucial break of throw.

Tony Wood the former number three will return to ADC action on Sunday as he is registered for the Consett Station Club Rankings Tournament 3, knowing the points on offer could boost him back into his former position with a good run hugely required.

The 52-year-old has picked up two titles all year, but the consistency shown throughout has kept him well up in the rankings. The fourth highest ranked player reached the Final of the first Winmau Championship Tour losing to fellow Tyne and Wear thrower Adam Atkinson 6-4 in the Final.

Kevin McDine has found a real resurgence in form once more, breaking back into the top 16 of the ADC Rankings after picking up his second tournament victory in the Globe Friday Flyer a week ago in Gateshead.

64 points were added after winning the event and it will come as a huge welcome having gone through a real blip in form that gave others below the chance to catch up, having not appeared at Championship Tours 3 and 4.

The 37-year-old beat Windy Miller 3-1 in the Final with an average of 80.71 and included a huge victory over the eighth highest ranked player Geoff Murray in the Last 16. ADC Number 2 Adam Atkinson also took part in the Northeast but was sent packing by John Kippen in the Second Round.

SupaMC will return this weekend for the first time since his win last week for the Knack Ranking Series 5 in Seaham now as the ADC Number 12 with 324 points, behind Paul Nesbitt in eleventh on legs difference who is looking for his third victory on Saturday, also being registered.
Adam Warner won in York a couple of weeks ago to claim 64 points to strengthen his spot as the ADC Number 7, and a return is confirmed as he registered for this weekend’s Streamline Taxis York Open Event 12 looking to overtake Graham Hall who is ahead by nine points in sixth.

The field is not fully confirmed but one player who could cause the Terriers Title holder problems is Leighton Bennett, with Boom Boom showing on many occasions the quality he has having included a perfect nine dart leg back in 2019 before going on to beat the legendary Phil Taylor, at the age of just 13.

The Lincoln youngster went on to win the Lakeside World Championship later in the year but will hope for a resurgence to kick on from what he achieved three years ago.
Six events will take place this weekend in the ADC in what promises to be a drama filled couple of days with changeups in the rankings guaranteed, ahead of the next couple of Championship Tours scheduled to take place in a weeks time.
