Peter Jacques was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week 11 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Robert Thornton in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 1st prize.
Jacques, who entered the finale having won Group C on Thursday and Friday, won both of his group phase matches, in coming through last leg deciders against Rob Collins and Robert Thornton to book his place in the Semi Finals, where he came up against Martin Adams, and comfortably defeated the 3x World Champion, 4-1, to book his place in the final.
In the final, Jacques took on Robert Thornton for the second time on the night, and once again, he defeated ‘The Thorn’ in a last leg decider to take the Week 11 crown, securing his place in Champions Week and picking up the £5,000 weekly 1st prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week 12, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
