Alexander Merkz took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day 1 of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with Week 2 of Stage 2 commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Merkz, who was making his debut at the Super Series, made a perfect start by taking the early lead in Group A, as he recorded victories over Neil Duff, Keelan Kay, Graham Hall and Andreas Toft-Jorgensen, with his only defeat coming against Jarred Cole.
Elsewhere, Neil Duff also ended the day on 8 points, but sits behind Merkz on leg difference, as Jarred Cole sits in 3rd on 6 points, Keelan Kay in 4th on 4 points, with Graham Hall and Andreas Toft-Jorgensen sitting joint bottom on 2 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Merkz leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
