Richie Howson secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.
Howson, who entered Wednesday’s play on 18 points from the opening two days of Group A, won four matches from five as he topped the group overall to secure his place in Saturday’s finale, by recording victories over Martyn Turner, Darren Johnson, Peter Manley and Andy Jenkins, with his only defeat coming against Adam Mould, to end on 26 points from a possible 30.
Elsewhere, Martyn Turner and Adam Mould will compete in Group B on Thursday and Friday evening, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Turner ending on 22 points and Mould on 18 points. The duo will be joined by Robert Thornton, Trina Gulliver and Ian Moss.
Darren Johnson, Andy Jenkins and Peter Manley will all compete in Group C, after they finished 4th, 5th and 6th respectively overall, with Johnson and Jenkins ending on 12 points each, as Manley suffered yet another five straight defeats to end on 0 points. The trio will be joined by Alan Norris, Mike Huntley and Steve Perren.
Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am GMT and Group B commencing from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
