John Brown, Conan Whitehead, Rob Collins, Owen Bates and Adam Hunt all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Leonard Gates, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
John Brown secured his place in Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst Callum Francis finished 3rd on 10 points, Larry Butler in 4th on 8 points, with Luke Getty and Gary Hayes finishing joint bottom on 6 points each.
Whitehead, who entered Friday’s play on 6 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, by completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories over Callum Francis, Larry Butler, Gary Hayes, John Brown and Luke Getty, to end on 16 points from a possible 20.
In Group B, Rob Collins topped the group overall, after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four, as he recorded victories over Colin Osborne, Prakash Jiwa, Owen Bates and Adam Hunt, dropping just five legs on route, to end on 12 points from a possible 16.
Elsewhere, Owen Bates and Adam Hunt also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Bates ending on 10 points and Hunt on 8 points, whilst Colin Osborne finished 4th on 6 points and Prakash Jiwa bottom on 4 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 2 with the six players battling it out for just 1 spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
