Lee Cocks took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with the opening week of Stage Four commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Cocks, who’s become a regular over the duration of the Super Series, began Stage Four by taking the early lead in Group A, after winning four of his five matches and recording victories against Moreno Blom, Danny Lauby, Youri Brouwer and Wesley Harms, with his only defeat coming against Mal Cuming.
Elsewhere, Wesley Harms also ended the day on 8 points, but sits behind Cocks on leg difference, whilst Danny Lauby and Mal Cuming sit 3rd and 4th respectively on 6 points each, Moreno Blom in 5th on 2 points, but it was a disappointing debut at the Super Series for Youri Brouwer, with the Dutchman suffering five defeats from five.
The players are seeking to claim the weekly prize of £5,000 and a spot in the Champions week with 12 other weekly winners. A place in the MSS Hall of Fame along with Conan Whitehead, Raymond Smith and Luke Littler also awaits the winner of stage 4.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Cocks leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
