Tense Battle for MSS Final Spots

Jarred Cole and Patrick Van den Boogaard took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join John Henderson in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.

Cole, who entered Group C having finished 5^th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead by winning three of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Alan Tabern, Mike Huntley and Robbie King, with his two defeats coming against Andy Hamilton and Justin Hood.

Elsewhere, Hood, Tabern and Huntley also ended the day on 6 points each, but sit 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th respectively behind Cole on leg difference, whilst Hamilton sits in 5^th on 4 points and King bottom on 2 points.

In Group B, Patrick Van den Boogaard took the early lead, after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Gary Stone, Mike Gillet and Wesley Plaisier, with his only defeat coming against Richard North.

Elsewhere, North also ended the evening on 6 points, but sits behind Van den Boogaard on leg difference, whilst Plaisier sits in 3^rd on 4 points, with Stone and Gillet sitting 4^th and 5^th on 2 points each.

Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join John Henderson in Saturday’s finale, with Cole and Van den Boogaard taking the early lead thus far.

Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST.
