Jarred Cole, Justin Hood, Wesley Plaisier, Patrick Van den Boogaard and Richard North all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join John Henderson, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Cole, who entered Friday’s play on 6 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Robbie King, Mike Huntley, Alan Tabern and Andy Hamilton, with his only defeat coming against Justin Hood, to end on 14 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Justin Hood also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, ending behind Cole on leg difference, whilst Andy Hamilton and Mike Huntley finished 3rd and 4th respectively on 10 points each, with Alan Tabern finishing 5th on 8 points and Robbie King bottom on 4 points.
In Group B, Wesley Plaisier topped the group overall, after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four during Friday’s play, as he recorded victories against Gary Stone, Patrick Van den Boogaard, Richard North and Mike Gillet, to end on 12 points from a possible 16.
Elsewhere, Patrick Van den Boogaard and Richard North also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall on 10 points each, whilst Gary Stone and Mike Gillet finished 4th and 5th on 4 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 11 with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm BST.
