Mareno Michels was the latest player to book his place in the Series 5 Champions Week after winning Week 3 at the MODUS Super Series.
The 31-year-old defeated Fallon Sherrock MBE 4-1 in the Final to claim his first success at the Live Lounge, having qualified for Finals Night after finishing 3rd from Group B on Friday.
The Dutchman got off to the perfect start on Saturday, after beating Group B table topper Shaun McDonald in his opening match 4-2 with a 57% checkout rate.
The ADC Europe qualifier went one better to secure his place in the Semi Finals, defeating Fallon Sherrock 4-1 with a 105.39 average as well as including a 102 finish over the 5 legs played.

From Final Group 1 it was John Henderson and Scott Baker who secured places in the Final 4, with ADC Qualifier Scott Marsh missing out despite averaging 102+ in a 4-2 defeat against The Highlander.
Fallon Sherrock secured her place in the Week 3 Series 5 Final after beating Group A winner John Henderson 4-2, with both players including 90 checkouts in Portsmouth.
The Queen of the Palace found a checkout rate of 50% to put herself one match away from claiming her maiden win at the Super Series.
Mareno Michels continued to impress on his doubles in his 4-1 Semi Final victory over Scott Baker, repeating the trick from his first win of the night against Shaun McDonald after again hitting a 57% checkout rate.
The Dutch international crucially punished the former Women’s World Matchplay winner after she missed a single number to give herself one dart at double 4 to save the match. Mareno returned to hit double tops first dart and claim £5,000 and his first taste of success in the MODUS Super Series.
