Chris Quantock was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week Eight at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Bradly Roes in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Quantock, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Jon Worsley and Alex Spellman to progress through to the Semi Finals.
The Yorkshireman came up against Neil Duff, and he former PDC Tour Card holder whitewashed the current WDF World Champion, 4-0, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Quantock came up against Bradly Roes, who’d defeated Alex Spellman in the last four, and ‘Quanny’ showed his experience to defeat the Dutch Teenager, 4-2, to book his place in Champions Week for the first time and pick up the £5,000 weekly first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Nine, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including reigning back-to-back Super Series Champion, Luke Littler.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
