Long Marches Into MSS Final

Jim Long secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.

Long, who entered Wednesday’s play on 16 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall, after winning four matches from five for the third day in a row, as he recorded victories against Connor Hopkins, Rene Eidams, Dmitrijis Zukovs and Viktor Tingstrom, with his only defeat coming against Oskar Lukasiak, to end on 24 points from a possible 30.

Elsewhere, Oskar Lukasiak and Dmitrijis Zukovs will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall, with Lukasiak ending on 20 points and Zukovs on 18 points. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Jim McEwan, Dan Read and Ciaran Teehan.

Viktor Tingstrom, Connor Hopkins and Rene Eidams will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively overall, with Tingstrom ending on 14 points, Hopkins on 8 points and Eidams on 6 points. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Adam Mould, Cam Crabtree and Tommy Morris.

The Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST.
