Adam Mould and Jim McEwan took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Jim Long in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
Mould, who last appeared at the Super Series back in July, made his return by taking the early lead in Group C, after winning three of his five matches.
The ADC No. 1 recorded victories against Connor Hopkins, Viktor Tingstrom and Tommy Morris, with his two defeats coming against Rene Eidams and Cam Crabtree.
Elsewhere, three players in Cam Crabtree, Rene Eidams and Tommy Morris ended the day 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively on 6 points each, as they sit behind Mould on leg difference, whilst Connor Hopkins sits in 5th on 4 points and Viktor Tingstrom bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Jim McEwan (Picrured) took the early lead, after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four, as he recorded victories against Oskar Lukasiak, Dmitriy Zhukov, Dan Read and Ciaran Teehan, dropping just five legs across the night.
Elsewhere, Oskar Lukasiak ended the night in 2nd on 6 points, Dan Read in 3rd on 4 points, Ciaran Teehan in 4th on 2 points, but it was a disappointing evening for Dmitriy Zhukov, who failed to register a victory, having suffered four defeats from four.
Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Jim Long in Saturday’s finale, with Mould and McEwan taking the early lead thus far.
Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST.
