Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor, the most successful player in darts history, will return to competitive action at the MODUS Super Series, revealing that the opportunity to play alongside long-time friend Adrian Lewis was enough to bring him out of retirement.
The 16-time World Champion will step back up to the oche at the MODUS Super Series International Pairs Tournament, taking place at the MODUS Super Series studio in Portsmouth from 23-28 November 2026, and streaming live and entirely free on Pluto TV.

The return will reunite one of darts’ most recognisable partnerships. Representing England, Taylor and Lewis previously competed together in five major tournaments, winning four titles together, including four World Cup of Darts crowns.
Having stepped away from competitive darts, Taylor had resisted calls to return to the sport, but the opportunity to play alongside Lewis again, and to do so at the MODUS Super Series, proved enough to tempt him back.
Phil Taylor said:
“I’ve been asked plenty of times about coming back, but it would have to be for the right reason. Adrian is one of the very few people I’d come out of retirement to play alongside, and the MODUS Super Series is the place I wanted to do it. We’ve got a lot of history together, we know each other’s games inside out and I’m looking forward to getting back up there with him”

Adrian Lewis added:
“Phil and I have shared some brilliant moments playing together over the years, so to get the chance to do it again is really special. We know what it takes to win as a pair and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do together.”
The reunion brings together two players who have helped define an era of British darts, but fans will have to wait a little longer to discover who they will face.
The full International Pairs Tournament line-up will be revealed live on the MODUS Super Series channel on 10 October, with a host of international talent set to compete in the special pairs format ahead of the tournament getting underway in November.
