The latest product range from UK darts most storied brand was launched by Sky Sports Emma Paton and former World Champion Mark Webster, with Winmau’s Lee Huxtable, at 2pm this afternoon (Watch here). A packed presentation, filmed at the recent World Grand Prix, featured an entire new range of player darts and several game changing items for your darts space:
With a nod toward the current cost of living difficulties, and ever increasing costs of almost everything, there is a large focus on a new range of 85% tungsten player darts. These offer an intermediate level set of products for less initial outlay for the consumer.
Winmau’s star names all feature heavily in this innovative range with models inspired by the signature darts of Michael van Gerwen, Joe Cullen, Simon Whitlock and Danny Noppert and Daryl Gurney, to name but a few.
As well as this new range there are also brand new darts for latest signing Leonard Gates and new editions of player darts including an atomised Simon Whitlock edition that already has fans talking online. A strong resemblance to The Aussie Wizard’s unique special edition of a couple of years ago, but with a similar finish to the MVG Exact or Jonny Clayton atomised edition of 2023.
Moving away from the actual tungsten there is a also a major focus on function and innovation for your darts space. Whether home, travel or venue there is something for all here.
The DW bunker is very keen indeed to try out the latest portable set up to be offered. A stable reliable and truly portable darts set up is one of our sport/business’s holy grails and Winmau may well have cracked the case:
The vertex is an all in one system that comes in a single bag and literally everything you need to set up and play anywhere will a flat wall and enough room for the oche throw! Whether you rent you space and cannot risk damaging walls or if you an on the move player/pro this could be the perfect solution for you.
Perhaps the most attention grabbing item is one that is meant to do the exact opposite. The Winmau Wispa aims to reduce or eliminate that annoying thud, thud, thud that other poor people have to endure if you practice in a shared space.
The Winmau team have devised a clever way to keep the board off the ‘wall’ in order to reduce the impact noise and even a way to absorb the vibration as well! Watch Lee explain below!
More will be added here as the products are released. Don’t forget to watch the full launch video :
