Allen Accelerates Aims with Team 360 Place

Irish international Rebecca Allen is the latest player to join forces with Winmau Team 360, after already having a successful career playing for her country and being the Ireland Number 1 Girl winner in 2022 and 2023.

Rebecca has also benefitted like many others from the opportunities provided by the Amateur Darts Circuit, winning a Round Robin competition in the Irish region for the Vault 4.0 Series with this being the last week of action before Finals night in all the competing regions.

“I am delighted to sign for Winmau Team 360, I have been playing darts competitively for 2 years and I am looking forward to going into competitions now with the support of the biggest name in darts.”

Allen represented her country at the 2023 WDF European Cup at the start of July, reaching the Semi Finals of the Girl’s Singles and Pair’s Events. The Irish representative lost out to another Team 360 star in Aurora Fochesato in the Semi Finals of the singles competition, with Aurora going on to win the tournament in Vienna after beating Turkey’s Zehra Gemi in the Final.

Rebecca and partner Christina Byrne were also defeated by the eventual winners in the Semi Finals of the Girls Pairs Competition in Austria, after coming through 3-1 winners against Wales in the Quarter Finals. The Irish duo were edged out by Turkish pair Zehra Gemi and Belinay Pelivan who went on to beat Team 360-star Hannah Meek and Paige Pauling in the Final.

The 14-year-old though has picked up success before on the WDF Circuit, winning the 2022 Winmau Irish Open Girls competition at Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney, beating compatriot Rachel Ivers in the Final.

This wasn’t the only success for Rebecca on the weekend of the 12th-13th of November last year, having defeated Clonmel player Christina Byrne to also win the 2022 High Performance Roofing Irish Classic Girls competition.

Allen has represented her country 3 times already and will relish the prospect of doing so again in the future, having come so close to success in the WDF World Cup in Denmark and the European Cup in Austria.

The new Team 360 signing reached the Semi Finals of the Girl’s Pairs competition in Esbjerg in the first staging of the WDF World Cup in 4 years, losing to eventual gold medallists England in the Girls Pairs competition, whilst also achieving a Quarter Finals finish in the Mixed Pairs Event with partner Adam Dee, including a 3-2 win over Scottish duo Sophie McKinlay and Scott Smith in the Last 16.

Winmau Team 360 Chairman Steve Brown spoke on Rebecca’s new contract saying: “Rebecca’s achievements in the game already are remarkable, playing well whilst representing her country and I’m sure with the help of Team 360, her performance will reach new levels on the ADC and WDF stage.”
