Cole Through as Charlie Large’s It Into Friday’s Five

Charlie Large, Nico Blum, Jarred Cole, Harry Ward and William Borland all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Thibault Tricole, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.

Large, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, after winning four of his five matches for the second day in a row, as he recorded victories against Felix Schiertz, Geoff Murray, Keelan Kay and Nico Blum, with his only defeat coming against Thomas Banks, to end on 16 points from a possible 20.

Elsewhere, Nico Blum also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2^nd overall on 12 points, edging out Geoff Murray, who missed out in 3^rd on leg difference, whilst Keelan Kay finished 4^th on 8 points, with Thomas Banks and Felix Schiertz finishing 5^th and 6^th respectively on 6 points each.

In Group B, Jarred Cole topped the group overall, despite winning just one of his four matches on Friday, with the solitary win coming against Harry Ward, whilst his three defeats came against Danny Smith, Rob Grundy and William Borland, to end on 10 points from a possible 16.

Elsewhere, Harry Ward and William Borland also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2^nd and 3^rd respectively on 8 points each, as the pair edged out Rob Grundy, who missed out in 4^th on leg difference, whilst Danny Smith finished bottom on 6 points.

The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week One with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm GMT.
