Simon Preston will return to the MODUS Super Series after clinching the Amateur Darts Circuit Vault 5.0 Regional Qualifier in the Northwest, defeating Ste Reynolds 6-4 in the Final as the 23rd seed for the competition.
The Castle Sports and Social Club played host to a massive day of darting action, with the likes of Q School Final Stage Finalist Tom Cromwell and Winmau Open Series winner David Evans qualifying via the Order of Merit.
Preston in fact defeated Stretch en route to winning the Regional Qualifier, averaging 82.75 in a 6-4 victory in the Quarter Finals.
The former UK Open qualifier’s most impressive display came in the 2nd Round against Shaun Alcock, hitting a staggering 10 140s in a 6-5 victory in the 2nd Round.
Another former UK Open qualifier in Thomas Banks secured a trip to the Live Lounge, winning the East of England Regional Qualifier after whitewashing 5th Seed Nathan Potter in the Final.
The Bulldog included a first 9 dart average of 104.56, securing a place in Portsmouth with victories over 2nd Seed Gareth Murray and 3rd Seed Joe Croft at the Fordham British Legion.
Paul Lewis won the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Qualifier at the Manhattan Club in Harrogate, with victory over 2nd Seed Steve Rice in the Final with an 89 average.
Paul defeated the likes of Tom Harker and Rick Harper in his opening 2 matches, before producing his best performance of the day to beat Jon Pearce in the Semi Finals 6-3. The Englishman averaged 90.34 and included a 68 finish to break throw in the 6th leg.
Elsewhere, 3rd Seed Andy Davidson secured victory at the Scotland MODUS Super Series Qualifier at the Players Lounge in Falkirk, coming through a difficult 32 player field which included former Live Lounge Qualifiers Scott Winder and Steven Johnstone.
Terry Nash will also feature after winning the Wales Regional Qualifier, beating 2nd Seed Mike Huntley with a 93.36 average in the Semi Finals before clinching a 6-5 victory in the Final against Deian Roberts.
The MODUS Super Series Qualifier in Ireland will take place on the 3rd of February, with Neilie Brouder finishing top of the region with 183 points, ahead of Jimmy Murphy in 2nd.
The Vault 6.0 starts on the 12th of February, as the regional Round Robin competitions take place for your chance to play live on TV in the MODUS Super Series.
