BOOKMAKERS and the betting public are still torn between the two Lukes, Humphries and Littler, with the in-form duo joint 3/1 favourites to land the Premier League Darts title ahead of night two in Berlin.
Ahead of the second round of the BetMGM Premier League, the title sponsors odds contain some eye-catching prices prior to tonight’s fixtures in Berlin. Both the World Champion and his teenage rival are now 3/1.
Peter Wright’s unpredictability and last week’s shock return to form from Michael Smith may suggest that the 40-1 on a night win, or even the value in his winning against Littler, is generous?
Speaking of Smith, he is also the defending Berlin Champion having won this night in 2023.
Third favourite MVG is at 7/2 for a nightly win. The Dutchman is the only other winner in the venue under the mini knockout format and has been in strong recent form.
Match Odds and Specials
- With eight of the world’s best players in action on Thursday, there’s a chance that nine perfect darts could well be thrown. It’s 8/1 for a nine-dart finish to be thrown during any match in the evening.
- In a repeat of last week’s final in Cardiff, Michael Smith faces Gerwyn Price in this week’s quarter final stage. Smith is priced at 49/50 to win the match, while Gerwyn Price is the slight favourite at 10/13. Its 5/2 for the match to go the distance and there to be over 10.5 legs in the match.
- In form, Luke Littler is a strong favourite (11/25) to overcome Rob Cross in his quarter final fixture and current World Champion Luke Humphries is a huge favourite (2/15) to beat Peter Wright in his quarter final match.
Night winner
Luke Humphries and Luke Littler both start the evening as favourites to win the second with BetMGM at 3/1, while Dutchman Michael Van Gerwen is priced at 7/2. Michael Smith is priced at 11/2 to win back to back rounds and Wales’ Gerwyn Priced is also priced at 11/2.

“The opening round of the BetMGM Premier League started with a bang with Michael Smith laying down the gauntlet with a hugely impressive win. We’re in for another blockbuster evening of darts this Thursday as the competition heads to Berlin. World Champion, Luke Humphries will be looking to bounce back after his quarter final defeat exit to Luke Littler in Cardiff – I can’t wait to see how he responds.”
Commenting ahead of the showpiece event in Berlin, UK Director at BetMGM, Sam Behar
