Duff Surges Into Friday’s Five For Double Trouble Finale

Darryl Pilgrim, Neil Duff, Connor Scutt, Conan Whitehead and James Wilson all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Jim McEwan, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.

Pilgrim, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, after winning four of his five matches again, as he recorded victories against Kevin Painter, Lisa Ashton, Colin Osborne and Mark Dudbridge, with his only defeat coming against Neil Duff, to end on 16 points from a possible 20.

Elsewhere, Neil Duff also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2^nd overall on 14 points, whilst Mark Dudbridge finished 3^rd on 12 points, Kevin Painter in 4^th on 10 points, with Colin Osborne and Lisa Ashton finishing 5^th and 6^th respectively on 4 points each.

Group B saw Connor Scutt top the group overall, after winning three of his four matches on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Conan Whitehead, James Wilson and Steve Brown, with his only defeat coming against Robert Thornton, to end on 12 points from a possible 16.

Elsewhere, Conan Whitehead and James Wilson also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall on 8 points each, whilst Robert Thornton and Steve Brown finished joint bottom on 6 points each.

The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Double Trouble Week with the six players battling it out for the £5,000 top prize. Play will commence from 7:30pm GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
