Conor Heneghan was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Two at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Andy Boulton in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Heneghan, who entered the finale having won Group A earlier in the week, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he recorded deciding leg victories against Danny Jansen and Justin Smith to progress through to the Semi Finals.
The Irishman came up against Carlo Van Peer, and from there, Heneghan defeated the Dutchman 4-2 to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Heneghan was to tackle ‘X Factor’ himself, Andy Boulton, who’d defeated Justin Smith in the last four, and nothing separated the pair throughout the final, until Conor sealed the victory in the seventh and deciding leg to seal his place in Champions Week and pick up the £5,000 first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday for the start of Week Three and the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including the Series Five Champion Jim McEwan.
Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
