Andreas Harrysson was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week Five at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Mike Warburton in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Harrysson, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group B, began the night by winning just one of his two group phase matches, after firstly defeating Greg Ritchie, before being defeated by, Group A winner, Leonard Gates.
However, the Swede did enough to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against David Evans, and from there, Harrysson dispatched ‘Stretch’ 4-1 to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Harrysson came up against Mike Warburton, who’d earlier defeated Gates in a last leg decider in the other Semi Final.
Sweden’s ‘Dirty Harry’ sealed his place in Champions Week, and won the weekly title for a third time, by defeating ‘Warby’ 4-2 and picking up the £5,000 weekly first prize
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Six, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be confirmed in due course.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
