Bam Bam’s MSS Triumph

Bradley Brooks was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week Seven at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Colin Osborne in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.

Brooks, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning just one of his two group phase matches, as he firstly lost his opener to Kieran Smith, before he defeated Viktor Tingstrom to progress through to the Semi Finals.

In the final four Brooks came up against London’s David Wawrzewski, and defeated ‘Wozzy’ 4-1 to book his place in the final.

In the decider, Brooks would have to battle it out against Colin Osborne, who’d defeated Viktor Tingstrom in the last four, and with an average of 97 and a 44% checkout rate.

Colin, a Darts World ambassador, was on the verge of completing a remarkakle week. The Derby based MSS regular had recovered from gaining a single solitary win on Monday to make finals night. The former UK Open finalist became the first player to produce three clean sweeps in a week in the process.

Brooks stepped upngain, however, and ‘Bam Bam’ defeated ‘The Wizard’ to seal the Week Seven crown, the £5,000 weekly first prize and a spot at Champions Week for the first time.

The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Eight, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including James Richardson and John O’Shea.
