Darius Labanauskas was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 10 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Justin Hood in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Labanauskas, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches.
He defeated Daniel Astbury and Ross Montgomery to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Ted Evetts.
The Lithuanian former PDC professional defeated ‘Super Ted’ 4-3 to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Labanauskas, known as Lucky D, came up against Justin Hood, who’d defeated Daniel Astbury in the last four.
The former Ally Pally star dispatched ‘Happy Feet’ 4-1 to seal his place at Champions Week for the first time as well as collecting the £5,000 weekly first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week 11, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
