Andreas Harrysson and Conor Heneghan took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Beau Greaves in Saturday’s Champions Week finale at the Modus Super Series.
Harrysson, who entered Group C having finished 4th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead, after winning three of his five matches. This week’s Group A was perhaps not truly representative of Harrysson and his form the 6 players were virtually inseparable.
The Swede recorded victories against Bradly Roes, Ciaran Teehan and Reece Robinson, with his two defeats coming against Neil Duff and Andrew Davidson, to sit on 6 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, four players in Andrew Davidson, Neil Duff, Reece Robinson and Ciaran Teehan remarkable are also sat on 6 points each, but sit 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively behind Harrysson on leg difference, whilst Bradly Roes sits bottom on 0 points, having suffered five straight defeats.
In Group B, Conor Heneghan took the early lead, after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Jimmy Van Schie, Bradley Brooks and Cam Crabtree, with his only defeat coming against Darius Labanauskas, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, Cam Crabtree and Darius Labanauskas also ended the night on 6 points each but sit 2nd and 3rd respectively behind Heneghan on leg difference, whilst Jimmy Van Schie sits in 4th on 2 points and Bradley Brooks bottom on 0 points, having suffered four straight defeats.
The Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Beau Greaves in Saturday’s Champions Week finale, with Harrysson and Heneghan taking the early lead thus far.
Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on The Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
