Luke Littler’s historic win in the Premier League has edged The Nuke into favouritism with William Hill to win this year’s Sports Personality of the Year Award.
Littler now has odds of 5/2 for the BBC award following support in the market which has seen his price cut from 4/1 prior to his first PDC Major win.
The ‘Warrington Wonderkid’ has put some space between himself and some of the other names in the market, notably footballer Jude Bellingham who remains at 4/1, with cyclist Mark Cavendish and England striker Harry Kane both 10/1 shots.
Following his impressive Premier League title win, which marked his first PDC Major victory, Luke Littler has emerged as the stand-alone favourite for this year’s Sports Personality of the Year Award.
Littler is now the 5/2 favourite having seen his odds shorten significantly from 4/1, reflecting a surge in support in recognition of his achievements.
Other notable contenders for the prestigious BBC award in December include England star Jude Bellingham, who remains at 4/1 and still has the Champions League final to play. Renowned cyclist Mark Cavendish and England’s captain Harry Kane are the closest contenders to the front-running duo at 10/1.
