Beau Into Inaugural MSS Women’s Week Finale

Beau Greaves secured her place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of her five matches to end her Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.

Greaves, who entered Wednesday’s play on 20 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall, after winning four matches from five on the third day of action in the special Women’s Week.

There was no unique place in the MSS history books for Greaves this time as she narrowly failed to complete the full 15 game sweep, of Group A, that has eluded every player since the event began.

The double World Champion recorded victories against Katie Sheldon, Trina Gulliver, Fallon Sherrock and Rhian O’Sullivan, with her solitary defeat coming against Finland’s Kirsi Viinikainen, to end on 28 points from a possible 30.

Elsewhere, Fallon Sherrock and Kirsi Viinikainen will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall, with Sherrock ending on 22 points and Viinikainen ending on 14 points. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Lorraine Winstanley, Vicky Pruim and Lorraine Hyde.

Trina Gulliver, Rhian O’Sullivan and Katie Sheldon will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively overall, with Gulliver ending on 12 points, O’Sullivan on 10 points and Sheldon on 4 points. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Deta Hedman, Natalie Gilbert and Laura Turner.
