Former WDF World Champion Neil Duff was amongst the 5 players to secure their places in Saturday’s Finals Night, on Week 5 of Series 8 in the MODUS Super Series.
The Northern Irishman was joined by ADC Qualifier Terry Nash from Group C, with the Red Dragon player clinching a whitewash (4-0) win over Nash to secure top spot, averaging 98.56 at the Live Lounge.
“Duffman” again found 4 wins from 5 on Friday in Portsmouth, with his only defeat coming against Paul Lewis who included 3 180s in a 4-0 win.
Paul picked up 3 wins from 5 to finish in 4th spot with 8 points, whilst debutant Daniel Stephenson finished 5th on 6 points and Brian Raman 6th with 4 points.
PDC Challenge Tour 6 winner Noa-Lynn van Leuven secured top spot-on debut at the Super Series, again picking up 3 wins from 4 in Group B.
Noa-Lynn included 4 180s in a 4-2 win over Craig Galliano in another impressive display, with Belgian international Timothy Verbrugghe and Welshman Jon Worsley securing the other qualifying spots in the Group.
Scott Taylor finished in 4th place with 6pts, whilst Gibraltar’s Craig Galliano saved his only win for his last match, beating Timothy Verbrugghe 4-2 in the penultimate contest.
The famous five will join Group A winner Jim McEwan on Saturday for the right to qualify for Champions Week and be in with a chance of £25,000.
The action will commence on Saturday from 19:30, where 6 players battle it out for the £5000 weekly prize at the MODUS Super Series.
