Former Poland World Cup representative Sebastian Bialecki enjoyed a fantastic start to his Group B campaign, on Day 4 of Week 6 at the MODUS Super Series.
In Group C, Tommy Lishman who included a perfect leg in his Group A campaign, topped the table with 4 wins from 5. David Wawrzewski also lost just the one match, occupying the other Finals Night qualification spot at the halfway mark.
Bialecki produced his best performance in the final contest of the day, defeating Welsh international David Davies 4-2 with an average of 98.55 at the Live Lounge.
“The Bolt” defeated Paul Hogan, Jordan Matthews and David Evans to secure a 100% record at the halfway point in Group B, with former Red Dragon Champion of Champions winner Paul Hogan claiming 3 wins himself, to sit 2nd with 6 points.
David Davies, Jordan Matthews and David Evans all picked up one win each on Thursday night, but it’s Davies that currently occupies the final qualifying place on legs difference.
In Group C, Tommy Lishman like Sebastian Bialecki saved his best performance for the end on Day 4, whitewashing Robert Thornton 4-0 with an average of 95.43, including 2 180s and just 2 missed darts at double.
“The Flame’s” only defeat came against his nearest challenger David Wawrzewski, with the 47-year-old only falling to defeat against Thornton who hit a 118 finish in a 4-3 success.
“The Thorn” sits 2 points behind Lishman and Wawrzewski in the table at the halfway mark, with both Darren Armstrong and Mason Whitlock picking up 4 points on Day 4, whilst Sweden’s Pontus Danielsson is yet to win heading into Friday.
