Marvin took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning three of his five matches, with Week 10 of Series Eight commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Van Velzen, who last appeared at the Super Series back in April, made his return by winning three matches from five, as he recorded victories against Stefan Bellmont, Joe Croft and Bradley Brooks, with his two defeats coming against Conan Whitehead and Harry Ward, to sit on 6 points from a possible 10 thus far.

Elsewhere, three players in Conan Whitehead, Harry Ward and Stefan Bellmont ended the day 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively overall on 6 points each, however sit behind Van Velzen due to leg difference, whilst Bradley Brooks sits in 5th on 4 points and Joe Croft bottom on 2 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Van Velzen leading the way thus far.
