Andy Hamilton was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Three at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Jack Tweddell in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Hamilton, who entered the finale having won Group C on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated David Wawrzewski and John O’Shea to progress through to the Semi Finals.
The final four saw the former PDC World finalist up against Bram Van Dijk, and from there, Hamilton defeated the Dutchman 4-2 to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Hamilton came up against Jack Tweddell, who’d defeated John O’Shea in the last four, and ‘The Hammer’ showed his experience by sealing a 4-2 victory to defeat the fellow compatriot and book his place in Champions Week, as well as collecting the £5,000 first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Four, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
