Devon Petersen was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Two at the ADC Global Championship, after defeating Marvin Van Velzen in the final and claiming the top prize.
Petersen, who entered the finale having won Group C on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he recorded victories against Gary Stone and Marvin Van Velzen to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Charlie Martin, and from there, Petersen whitewashed the Englishman, 4-0, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Petersen came up against Marvin Van Velzen for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Shane Hayward in the last four, and once again, ‘The African Warrior’ got the better of his Dutch opponent, as Petersen sealed a 4-2 victory to pick up the Week Two crown at the ADC Global Championship.
The ADC Global Championship season concludes on Sunday with the yearly finals taking place at the Live Lounge with the field to be confirmed in due course. Play will commence from 13:30 GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
