Stefan Bellmont was victorious on Sunday, in winning a third Challenge Tour title of his career, after defeating Danny Jansen in the decider, as the opening weekend of the PDC’s second tier tour season concluded in Milton Keynes.
Bellmont, who lost out in the final of Event One on Friday, went a step further 48 hours later, as he reached the final firstly by recording victories against Vinay Ramnath, Tom Parradine, Stefan Dees, Sam Spivey, Tommy Morris, Graham Hall and Aden Kirk, to set up a clash with Jansen.
The final began with Bellmont racing into a 4-0 lead, with winning legs coming in 18,13,15 and 14 darts respectively, before Jansen ended the run by pinning a 15 darter in Leg Five to pick up his first leg of the tie.
This became the solitary leg won by the Dutchman in the tournament finale, as Bellmont sealed the victory in Leg Six with a 17 darter to pick up a third PDC title of his career as well as the £2,500 top prize.
