Jenson Walker was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Two at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Adam Mould in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Walker, who entered the finale having won Group C on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning just one of his two group phase matches, as he firstly suffered a defeat to Jamie Hughes, before defeating Andy Hamilton to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Simon Whitlock, and from there, Walker defeated ‘The Wizard’ 4-3 to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Walker came up against Adam Mould, who’d defeated Jamie Hughes in the last four, and the teenager got the better of his fellow compatriot, 4-2, to pick up his first weekly title at the Super Series and securing his place in Champions Week, as well as collecting £5,000 in prize money.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday for the start of Week Three and the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Series One Champion Conan Whitehead. Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
