Derek Coulson was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week Seven at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Martyn Turner in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Coulson, who entered the finale having won Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Conan Whitehead and Charlie Manby to progress through to Semi Finals, where he came up against Neil Duff, and from there, Coulson whitewashed the Former WDF World Champion, 4-0, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Coulson came up against Martyn Turner, who’d defeated Conan Whitehead in the last four, and in a battle of the veterans, it was Coulson who came out on top, with the Welshman defeating Turner, 4-2, to seal his place in Champions Week, as well as collecting the top prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Eight, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including ‘The African Warrior’ Devon Petersen and Former PDC Tour Card Holders in Graham Usher and Chris Quantock.
Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
