David Davies and Brian Raman took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Jimmy Van Schie in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
Davies, who entered Group C having finished 4th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Darnell McCrory, Tommy Morris, Martin Biggs, Carl Wilkinson and Charlie Large, to sit on a maximum 10 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Tommy Morris ended the day in 2nd on 8 points, whilst Martin Biggs sits in 3rd on 6 points, Charlie Large in 4th on 4 points, Carl Wilkinson in 5th on 2 points and Darnell McCrory bottom on 0 points, having suffered five straight defeats on debut.
In Group B, Brian Raman took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Simon Whitlock, Mike Gillet and Tom Sykes, with his only defeat coming against Mark Dudbridge, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, three players in Tom Sykes, Simon Whitlock and Mike Gillet ended the evening 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively on 4 points each, whilst Mark Dudbridge sits bottom on 2 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Jimmy Van Schie in Saturday’s finale, with Davies and Raman taking the early lead thus far.
